Ask the machine, and get an answer from its whole history.
Mimir.SI™. The copilot for the plant floor. Ask a question about a machine, in words or by pointing a camera at it, and get an answer drawn from live data, the machine's history and your maintenance records. It works on a tablet, a phone or a headset, and the technician makes the call.

The name
A well, and a head that still answers.
Mímir kept the well of wisdom at the roots of the world tree. Odin wanted a drink badly enough to pay with an eye. After Mímir was killed in a war between the gods, Odin kept his head, preserved it with herbs, and went on asking it for advice.
Every plant already has a Mímir: the technician who has run that machine for twenty years. Mimir.SI makes what that person knows, and what the machine has logged, answerable from a tablet. The technician still makes the call. Odin asked the head for advice. He did not hand it the spear.
Mímir/Old Norse, a name kin to “memory”
What it does
The plant's memory, on the floor.
Technicians know their machines. Mimir.SI adds what nobody can carry in their head: the live readings, the full history and the last time this happened.
Ask
Ask in plain words
A technician asks about a machine in words, or points a camera at it, and Mimir.SI answers using what the equipment is doing right now.
Recall
Read the history
Pulls in past faults, repairs, manuals and maintenance logs, so the answer reflects what happened last time and not only what the manual says.
Guide
Walk through the fix
Gives the next step as the work happens, by voice or on screen, and logs what was done. The technician decides, and can always overrule it.
Connected
It works from the data you already have.
Mimir.SI works best next to Bifröst.SI and Norns.SI, but it can also work from your own historian and maintenance system. It explains and suggests. It does not control equipment.
Anything that changes a machine goes through Bifröst.SI, with a person approving each action.
Live data
Bifröst.SI
Reads the current state of the machine from your edge platform.
What happens next
Norns.SI
Where you use Norns.SI, Mimir.SI can ask what is likely to happen if a reading keeps climbing, and show the answer next to the machine.
History
Your records
Maintenance logs, manuals, work orders and incident reports, kept inside your own environment.
Use cases
Wherever someone is standing next to a machine.
We start with the line or the team where waiting for an expert costs the most.
Maintenance technicians
Get the likely cause and the fix that worked last time, without leaving the machine.
Shift handover
Pass on what happened, what was tried and what to watch, in a form the next shift can ask about.
Training new operators
New staff ask questions as they work and learn from the plant's own history.
Remote experts
Let an expert see what the technician sees and the data behind it, from anywhere.
Safety and incident review
Reconstruct what a machine was doing and what was said and done around an event.
Field service teams
Bring the equipment's history to the customer site instead of looking it up afterwards.
Ways to start
Three ways to work with Mimir.SI.
Every company is set up differently, so there is no price list. Tell us what you run and we will propose a starting point.
Pilot
One line, one team.
We connect Mimir.SI to one line and its records, train it on that equipment, and put it in the hands of a small team.
- Scoping with operations and maintenance
- Connection to one line and its records
- Devices and interface set up for your floor
- Review with the team after a few weeks of use
Plant
A whole site.
Mimir.SI covers the equipment across a site, with its history and procedures, for every shift.
- Run in your own environment
- All major equipment and record sources connected
- Access control for different roles
- Training for technicians and supervisors
Network
Every site.
For companies with many plants. What one site learns about a machine is available to the others.
- Shared knowledge across sites, with local data kept local
- Support for several languages
- Dedicated engineering time
- Roadmap agreed with your operations leadership
Tell us about your plant.
Mimir.SI is offered by enquiry only. Tell us what you run and what is driving the work, and we will reply within two business days, usually with a few scoping questions.
Want your equipment connected first? Start with Bifröst.SI.
